National Anti Terrorism Day is observed in India on 21st May every year to raise awareness among people about the impact of terrorism on human lives and to encourage them to participate in the fight against terrorism. This day marks the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated by a suicide bomber on 21 May 1991.
