EDUCATION REACHES KASHMIR’S LAST MILE: THE SCHOOL THAT FOLLOWS NOMADIC CHILDREN

Every summer in Kashmir, Gujjar and Bakarwal families migrate to alpine pastures with their livestock, affecting their children’s education. Seasonal Educational Volunteers (SEVs) follow these families, providing education to approximately 42,000 children under the Samagra Shiksha programme. This initiative adapts to nomadic lifestyles, ensuring access to learning amid geographical challenges.
