There are a few people in this world who lead their lives in such a manner that they become Role Model & source of inspiration for everyone. These words fit perfectly well when we talk about the life of India’s very important personality & 11th President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam whose full name is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu in a very simple household. Due to weak financial conditions at home, Kalam started selling newspapers at a very early age to help his parents. Since childhood, Kalam, who was very much interested in studying & gaining knowledge, finished his graduation in Physics from St. Josephs College, Tiruchirappalli in 1954 & in 1960 completed his Aerospace Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology.

Later he joined DRDO’s Aeronautical Department Establishment as a Scientist. In 1969 he became the director of ISRO’s first Satellite Launch Project and also worked on the Project Devil, Project Valiant and Agni & Prithvi Missiles because of which he was also called the “MISSILE MAN OF INDIA”. He also played a critical role in successful conduct of Pokhran-II tests in 1998. On 10 June 2002, Kalam took over as the 11th President of India during the tenure of which he visited many institutions and motivated the youth of the nation to follow their dreams and work hard to take the county to the pinnacle. Awarded with Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan & Padma Vibhushan he also penned down numerous novels & books which include India 2020, Wings of Fire, Ignited minds. But unfortunately on 27 July 2015, he suffered a cardiac arrest during his lecture at IIM Shillong & eventually left for his heavenly abode. No doubt, personality like Kalam continue to inspire millions of people & leave their impression on everyone till eternity.
