Amidst the Himalayas, a valley blooms,
A land that exudes beauty and perfume,
A paradise on earth, it’s known to be,
The land of Kashmir, so en chanting to see.

The peaks, the snow, the meadows so green,
The river, the lakes, a sight to be seen,
The gardens, the flowers, the trees so grand,
The culture, the art, that’s hard to understand.

The people, the warmth, the hospitality,
The smiles, the laughter, the generosity,
The food, the spice, the Kashmiri cuisine,
The memories, the taste, an experience serene.

Yet amidst the beauty, a tale of woe,
A story of struggle, that’s hard to let go,
of bloodshed, of violence, of a people in pain,
of a land that longs to be free again.

But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope,
of voices that rise, of people that cope,
of strength and resilience, that’s hard to ignore,
of a spirit that’s unbroken, despite all the gore,
So let us pray for peace, for a land that deserves,
To flourish, to thrive, to rise above the curves,
May Kashmir be a land of love and harmony,
of freedom, of justice, of true unity.
