Tulail Sports Festival 2026 will be held from September 23 to 26, 2026, at Government Higher Secondary School, Tulail, Gurez, Bandipora. This four-day event is not limited to being merely a sports competition. Its objective is to provide the youth of the remote region with an organised sports platform, develop discipline and team spirit among them, and further strengthen the sports culture in Gurez. This year, the festival will be distinguished by the organisation of the official district championships in Wushu and Rugby. This will give the youth of Tulail and surrounding areas their first opportunity to showcase their talent in these sports at the district level.

Tulail’s geographical location makes this event even more significant. The Gurez Valley is located in the Himalayan region, and many of its villages are situated among the mountains, where young people have had relatively limited access to large-scale sporting competitions. Connecting young people in such areas with regular sporting activities and giving them opportunities to compete will provide a new direction to the local sports culture.
